With the start of November, almost every guy can be seen proudly showing off his beard to his friends and family across all platform. This is the craze and excitement for “NO- SHAVE NOVEMBER”, a motto that can be heard from guys across the world.
No-Shave November is a web-based, non-profit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. No-Shave November was started in 2009 by the Hill family of the Chicago area as a way to honor their father Matthew, who died in 2007 from colon cancer. It is a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. It encourage men (and women) to let their hair grow — participate by growing a beard, cultivating a mustache, letting those legs go natural and skipping that waxing appointment.
The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. It is done so that all can donate the money they typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.
The No-Shave November has been a hit as people from across the world are observing it and contributing to the survivors of this dreadful disease. It is also contributing towards universal harmony as people from different backgrounds are coming together for a single cause.
