“I am proud to share that LPU is the first university in the country to start such a concept of entrepreneurship.” – Chancellor, LPU

According a great entrepreneurship dais to its students, Lovely Professional University is organizing a mammoth three-day Entrepreneurship Summit at its campus. Renowned young CEOs, Founders, Operation Heads, Mentors and Coaches from across India including Mr Dilniwaj Khan (Startup Oasis), Mr Paresh Gupta (Headstart Network), Mr Amit Munjal (Brahmax), Mr Deepanshu Khandelwal (Tech Portal), Mr Yasir Jahoor (Google Academy Trainer), Craig Prins (Invulgh.com), Mr Ajay Pal (Carebuddy), Nalin Mittal (Jugnu), Joseph Jude (Gotellsystems) and more are motivating students. First of its kind, this mega Startup Fest 2015 is readying students in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ dream. Eminent entrepreneurs are delivering powerful addresses and training to LPU students to prefer entrepreneurship than jobs, so as to become job creators than job seekers.

Sharing their personal experiences of failings and successes in consonance, the key note speakers asked students in common to start up with passion first of all for solutions to the challenges being faced by Indians in different sectors. Opening the summit, when first speaker Dilniwaz asked how many students want to be entrepreneurs, thousands of students present in Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium raised their hands in affirmation. Similarly, when only 32 years old Mr Paresh Gupta (Indian lead, Headstart Network Foundation) shared many of his first-credits in education, extra-curricular activities, job and presently in entrepreneurship, students got much motivated. He guided students to learn from the best, “We do not know how to learn and then how to do. All old idioms and sayings can be meaningless in present scenario. Try and prove yourself to be different; do not worry what others say about you; go ahead by using your brain and potential to be successful entrepreneur. Believe on yourself that you can do better. Keep this in mind that unless you talk about yourself, no one can know you better. ”

Mr Amit Munjal (Founder & CEO, Brahmax) talked about his successful healthcare app ‘Doctor Insta’ which helps in seeing a doctor instantly; anytime, anywhere. He shared: “Startup can be anything, just prove your mettle for that. Follow your true passion for a big purpose. Through ‘Doctor Insta, I truly feel that the future of healthcare is just an app away. In fact, your ideas should have international reach and should not be controlled by boundaries. Also, keep on benchmarking your ideas, make these better than your competitors.” Dr Peter Q. Blair, Professor from Clemson University, USA asked students to follow their university LPU as it is true example of the great entrepreneurship in couple of years not only in India but world also.

Thanking the invited young entrepreneurs of the country, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said: “I am overwhelmed to see the inspiring messages of great entrepreneurs of the country and great imbibing to the same from our students. I am proud to share that LPU is the first university in the country to start such a concept of entrepreneurship. Many of our students are running their companies and enterprises successfully. Remarkably, 34 ventures of theirs are only at the campus.” Advising students Mr Mittal said: “Our PM Modi Sahib is expecting much from Indian youth. When he invokes for ‘Make in India’, he wants you to be job creators for various requirements of the country. So I, too, advise when you pass out, you may have many options for job, but I would like you to have a startup sincerely. Do what has not been done earlier and for this the only thing required is passion in you.”
