Amidst the vibrant cultural ambiance during One World 2019LPU also organized an International Conference on Experimentation and Progression in Engineering, Research and Technology EXPERT 2019, which was graced by His Excellency Gonchig Ganbold, the Ambassador of Mongolia to India.

The conference was inaugurated by Mr Ganbold Gonchig Chief Guest, Ambassador of Embassy of Mongolia; Mr. Ashok Mittal, Hon’ble Chancellor, Lovely Professional University; Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta, Executive Dean–LFTS, and Dr. Amit Srivastava, Chairperson, EXPERT 2019, followed by Lamp lighting ceremony and launch of Conference proceedings. The welcome address was done by Dr. Amit Srivastava, Chairperson who welcomed all delegates, keynote speakers, guests during the event, followed by a discussion about the conference & its motives by Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta.

The conference welcomed researchers, engineers, scientists, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss the developments in the field of Civil Engineering. It also provided an ideal platform for keeping up with advances and changes to a consistently morphing field.

The conference opening keynote address was delivered by Dr. Collin Hills on Mineralization of CO2 in manufactured construction materials, University of Greenwich, London, followed by keynote address by Prof Abhijit Mukherji (Professor & Dean International South Asia, Curtin University, Australia), Dr. Yannick Mammidy Pajani (Professor IMT Lille Douai France ), Mr. S.K Nirmal, Secretary-General, India Road Congress, New Delhi and Dr. Harsh K Gupta, President, Geological Society of India, Hyderabad.

All these Keynote addresses had student gathering of more than a thousand and were held at Smt Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium. 11 experts, out of which 7 were international and 4 were national from various reputed institutes, had participated in the event by delivering keynote addresses. In total, 140 abstracts had been received out of which 72 full-length manuscripts were received encompassing a wide variety of topics in the field of Civil Engineering.
