Living away from home for college is both, a pleasant dream and a nightmare. You tend to plan a thousand things in your head and give yourself a reason to believe that you have finally grown up and it’s now time to take some real responsibilities. You imagine different scenarios about living away from your family and then realize how simple it seems and yet, how complicated it can get.
Choosing where to live during college-life can be a hard decision. It is important to consider all the available options before landing at one. You may even be ambivalent about opting for the hostel facility. Let’s take a look at how life is when you are a hosteller in LPU!
- Safety And Security For All
As a matter of fact, LPU has one of the largest residential capacities in the world. There are multiple numbers of hostels for both boys and girls, having automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulating the entry and exit of hostellers. The university is constantly committed to zero tolerance to ragging and disciplinary misconduct.
- Choosing Your Type
The first thing anyone would look for in a residential facility is a comfort. Hostels at LPU have single seater rooms, multiple seater rooms, and apartments as well. You can also choose between an AC or Non-AC room.
- 24*7 Medical Assistance
Medical emergencies can arrive anytime. In order to fix them immediately and efficiently, the university has a 24*7 active Uni-Hospital that is staffed with resident medical officers, medical lab staff, physiotherapists and dieticians. To facilitate medical assistance, there are many ambulances available to the service of university residents.
- The Mess Facility
The mess facility in the LPU Hostels comes with spacious dining halls and hygienic food. The food is prepared four times a day covering Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner. It is indeed surprising that over one lakh meals are served in the hostels every day!
- New Gyms and Indoor Stadiums
The university is ready to introduce gym and indoor stadium facilities at different locations separately for boys and girls at 50% subsidized rates. The indoor stadium will have facilities like a shooting range, badminton court, basketball court, swimming pool, volleyball court, etc. Besides that, a totally free open gym facility is also being introduced.
Choosing a residential facility can be tricky. Think through while you start making a decision because wherever you choose to live is going to be your home away from home for a significant period of time! Happy College-ing!
