Today, the Independence Day celebration at LPU Campus was a grand affair. The esteemed Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Mittal, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, hoisted the national flag, accompanied by the worthy Pro-Chancellor, Ma’am Mrs. Rashmi Mittal. The NCC cadets, draped in patriotic colors, marched past and welcomed the chief guest by taking the salute. The LPU Vertos of different schools also marched past, showcasing their achievements. The celebration kickstarted at Unipolis, awash in vibrant tricolor hues, with LPU students’ theatrical performances transporting us back to the pre-independence era.
The esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Ashok Mittal, addressed the vertos, their parents, and all other guests present with pride. He spoke of LPU’s A++ accreditation by NAAC and congratulated everyone gathered at Unipolis. The international students’ mesmerizing renditions of yesteryear songs, coupled with a breathtaking dance performance, won over everyone’s hearts. Finally, a diverse group of students stirred our patriotic fervor with soulful renditions of nationalistic songs. |
The Honorable Chancellor and Worthy Pro-Chancellor took a photo session with the students from various schools who gathered there. The chief guest’s exhortation to the scholars to keep their feet on the ground and aim high to achieve their dreams was met with thunderous applause. The show was anchored well by the two smart anchors, who kept the audience bound till the end with their snippets in between the show. The entire LPU Campus was adorned with tricolor balloons and buntings, and the NSS cadets managed the show with utmost sincerity.
