iQOO, a mobile phone brand, has appointed LPU sophomore Shwetank Pandey as its inaugural Chief Gaming Officer (CGO). The role of the CGO is to ensure that the brand delivers exceptional experiences
for its users. Shwetank, a 23-year-old avid gamer from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was selected for the position after a rigorous three-month selection process, beating out over 60,000 applicants. His appointment was based on his command of games, gaming knowledge, and communication skills. Shwetank’s passion for gaming led him to give up a lucrative job opportunity and forgo pursuing an MBA to pursue a career in the field of gaming. As the Chief Gaming Officer, Shwetank will work closely with a team of Zonal CGOs to help iQOO redefine gaming engagement and experience.


Expressing his excitement, Shwetank stated, “I am elated and humbled to be selected as iQOO’s first-ever Chief Gaming Officer.
