We are extremely proud to share that an alumnus of LPU, Naveen Kumar, has cleared the most prestigious exam of the country – Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2018 securing AIR 324.
Naveen has completed his B.Tech IT from Lovely Professional University in the year 2013. About 8 lakh candidates applied for UPSC 2018, out of which only 759 were recommended for appointment. Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2018 held by the Union Public Service Commission in September-October, 2018 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-March, 2019, the candidates were recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services.
Based on the interaction with Naveen, he said “It took immense dedication and perseverance to reach where I’m today. I’ve studied daily for 8-10 hrs minimum for the last 4 years which has helped me to clear UPSC with AIR 324, though I’ve been an average student during school time. My inspiration has been my family and friends. I always wanted to clear UPSC to help people at large, as during my college days I’ve attended many camps for the benefit of the people. My friend and I ventured into the formation of many associations whose primary aim has been to selflessly help people.”
