· Patriotic slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vande Maatram, Jai Hind and more” kept on echoing at the campus throughout many-hour celebrations
· Tonnes of sweets to all of the employees and gifts of substantial products to Class IV employees were distributed on the theme “Joy of Giving”
· All of the 4000+ staff members of the university, including teaching, technical, non-technical, and administrative wore either ‘Tri-Colour’ or Tri-Colour related accessory to showcase their zeal towards independence
· “Har Ghar Tiranga” also heightened the national fervour, wherein Tri-colours were individually hoisted at the front of each block, out of total 80 blocks, of the University
Commemorating 75 years of independence of the progressive India, Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in a uniquely grand and cherishing style, at its campus. Throughout many-hour celebrations, today, patriotic slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vande Maatram, Jai Hind and more” kept on echoing in and around the 5 kilometres area of the campus.
Tonnes of sweets were distributed to all of the employees. Upholding the theme “Joy of Giving”, bags full of the gifts of substantial products including bed-sheets, tiffin boxes etcetera were also provided to non- technical support staff. Highlighting the eve of independence, all of the 4000+ staff members of the university, including teaching, technical, non-technical, and administrative wings, wore either ‘Tri-Colour’ or Tri-Colour related accessory on body. It showcased their deep seated passion towards freedom and the first-rate democracy of the country in the world.
“Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign of the Government of India at the campus also heightened the national fervour. Following this, Tri-colours were individually hoisted at the front of each block, out of a total 80 blocks, of the University.
Congratulating all on the eve of the great day of India, LPU Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal shared that the real celebration of this national fest is to bring cheerfulness and happiness on the faces of all those country men and women by following the dictum of “Joy of Giving”. To fulfil the needs of others is indeed a God’s work. India can really be prosperous on all fronts by adopting such a notion.
In addition, celebrating “Azadi ke Rang, LPU Ke Sang”, staff members and students enjoyed a fashion show, play, one kilo-meter long procession and more, on the tunes of patriotism. Many thousand LPU students from all states of India and 50 countries across the world have also come forward to celebrate the occasion. For this, LPU also launched a photo contest, quiz programme on 75 years of India’s freedom, organized ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat student exchange initiative and many more.
