LPU has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of the top Australian universities, La Trobe University in Melbourne campus, Australia. This collaboration will create more international opportunities for students, including student exchange programs and joint research projects. Students of computer science, management, forensic science, and engineering programs will be much benefitted through this tie-up.
On this occasion, the delegation from La Trobe University included Mr Kelly Smith Pro Vice-Chancellor of La Trobe International, Mr Quenton Gilmore from International Relations, and Professor (Dr) Hema Sharda, Chief Advisor to the Chancellor of Lovely Professional University were present to sign the MoU.
LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal shared that LPU is creating more international opportunities for its students’ perfect development so that they may prove themselves as globally fit citizens. Pro VC of La Trobe University Mr Kelly Smith also expressed his happiness in having collaboration with one of the top university in India.
Illustrative, having a history of great educational and allied endeavors, La Trobe University has forwarded notable leaders to the global society in diverse fields. The University offers a number of opportunities for students to participate in various social, cultural, recreational, and athletic activities. Additionally, outstanding artists and educationists are brought to campus to perform each year for students.
Furthermore, La Trobe is known for its groundbreaking ‘cancer research’ and their research has found out a way to fight with the muscle-wasting condition. It has also been ranked by Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) which is Australia’s national research evaluation framework.
Beginning of the year, LPU had signed a similar agreement with Curtin University in Australia.
