Cleanliness is the mark of a civilized society. Starting from personal hygiene to clean public places, cleanliness proves that we are different from other species. Cleanliness is not only important on a personal level but also leads to the growth of a community. Since, the places with the utmost focus on cleanliness prove to be most growth oriented, they thrive in the societal aspects and the happiness index of such places also comes out to be the best. The cleanliness of surroundings of a person also pushes an individual for more.
Cleanliness at a workplace and educational institution is really helpful and boosts the productivity of an employee or a student. Considering the welfare of the society in mind, GOI started a great initiative called as Swachhata Pakhwada in April 2016. Under this program, different departments/ministries pay attention to the issues and practices of Swachhata under their jurisdiction. Celebrating Swachhata Pakhwada, under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt of India, LPU students participated in the campaign “Tidy the Untidy”. They conducted a drive to clean their surroundings inside LPU Campus.
The vertos of LPU always stay on the top on the front of social welfare. There are departments like Division of Student Welfare and NSS where students are encouraged to participate in such activities and organizations get motivated to perform CSR events. Endeavors and initiatives like these help us make a better future and transform education.
