LPU’s 8th Annual Honour Ceremony

LPU organized the 8th edition of its annual University Honour Ceremony on April 28th, 2017. Every year, at this ceremony, the university honours the achievements of its students, made throughout the academic session. This year, LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal honoured 232 students with cash prizes worth Rs. 12 lakh. University Rolls of Honour were also bestowed upon students for excellence in academics, research, sports, cultural activities and community services.

Among the achievers honored were LPU students placed in countries like USA and UK; Paras Maan, and Ajay Tiwari for their participation in singing reality shows; the World Cup Shooting Competition silver medalist; the Best NCC Cadet; Republic Day Participants; the Marathon Winner; and AIU”s First Qawwali Competition ‘Aafreen’ winners. The parents of the 232 awardees were also invited to witness the honoring of their wards.

LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal congratulated the achievers and inspired them to, “Keep on performing your best. I advise you all to convert your worries and problems into challenges and face them all with a positive attitude.” Thanking all the present parents for reposing their faith in the the university, Chancellor Mr. Mittal said, “I am happy to share that LPU not only strives to impart world class education, but also shapes students into holistic human beings. Their learning extends beyond the classroom and onto the sports fields, stages, labs and the world at large. m, innovations so as to attract a large number of prime recruiters at the campus. Some of our students secure jobs many months before they even appear for their final examinations. In fact, the major strength of LPU is the placement of its students in top companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon etc. where some of our alumni are presently working at packages of more than Rs. One Crore.”
