• LPU Awards Scholarships Worth Over ₹100 Crore to the 2025 Batch – Celebrating Dreams and Determination
Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated the academic potential and aspirations of its incoming 2025 batch by awarding scholarships worth over ₹100 crore. Reaffirming its commitment to inclusive and affordable education, LPU granted scholarships to thousands of deserving students, with over 3,000 of them receiving up to 70% of their program fee waived. In a grand on-campus ceremony, nearly 1,000 scholarship recipients—including those awarded 100% tuition and hostel fee waivers; were felicitated for their exceptional merit and performance.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh graced the event and inspired students by sharing her life journey; from dreaming of flying an aircraft as a little girl to becoming a successful pilot in the Indian Air Force. She shared, “My journey was not a bed of roses. I had my share of difficulties, but I always had the goal and the courage that kept me going,”. She encouraged students to pursue their true calling fearlessly, quoting, “No matter what you want to become; be it a painter, actor, or pilot—just be. Don’t let anyone else decide for you. Don’t let anybody else color your stage for you.”
She emphasized the importance of education, calling it “the wealth that gives you power to stay strong and lead.” Speaking to students, she added, “Take control of your life. Use your time constructively, have a purpose, and train your brain; it will do its best. Set your goals and steer the boat of your life with direction so you don’t keep revolving in circles.” To parents, she offered heartfelt advice that – “Support your children. Tell them they are the best. Make them feel valued so they don’t seek validation elsewhere. If you open your hearts to them, they will never lose their way.”
LPU’s wide-ranging scholarships recognize exceptional performance in academics, sports, cultural activities, innovation, and community service. Full scholarships, including tuition and hostel waivers; amounting to around ₹14 lakhs per student—have been granted to top-performing students from school boards, universities, and national-level exams such as JEE, NEET, CUET, and CAT.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU welcomed Wing Commander Vyomikasingh at campus. Addressing the students and parents Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal shared, “At LPU, our vision has always been to make education affordable and accessible to every deserving student—irrespective of their background. When you entrust your child to us, they become our responsibility—not just academically, but as young individuals full of potential and dreams.”
Dr. Mittal shared, “We at LPU believe the degree is incidental. What truly matters is shaping a successful career and building a good human being. That has always been our foundation. Whether it’s through placements, entrepreneurship, innovation, or research—we ensure every student has the opportunity to turn their aspirations into achievements.
LPU continues to lead in nurturing talent across more than 150+ academic programs, from diplomas to postgraduates, and remains committed to supporting students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Over 4,000 female students have received scholarships this year alone, along with students from more than 50+ countries, reinforcing LPU’s role as a global hub of inclusive education.
LPU’s scholarship initiatives such as RakshakSammanAnudan and ShikshakSammanAnudan continue to honor the children of defense personnel and educators. Additionally, through its online platform, LPU extends 100% scholarships to serving armed forces personnel under the Jai Jawan (Operation Sindoor) initiative.
During the event, students and their families explored LPU’s world-class infrastructure, interacted with university leaders, and joined an inclusive, vibrant academic community—ready to begin their transformative journey at one of India’s leading universities.
