LPU’s One World 2023, India’s biggest cultural festival, displayed the lively cultures of Yemen, Ghana, and Cameroon. Students from all walks of life gathered together to celebrate the rich heritage and customs of these countries and to explore their varied and vibrant cultures. All the students made an effort to dress in the traditional garb of their home states and display the fascinating, vivid cultures.

The Central African nation of Cameroon was displayed so beautifully by the School of Hotel Management, they depicted their extensive cultural history and had shown around 250 different ethnic groups in the nation, each with their dialect and traditions through models and pictures. The LPU cultural festival included the music and dance of the Beti, Ewondo, and Bantu people of Cameroon. The Ewondo people presented their Ekang dance, while the Beti people performed their traditional Bikutsi dance. The Bantu people also entertained the audience with their traditional dances and music.

Ghana, a West African nation, is renowned for its vivacious and eye-catching culture, and so was it in the whole cultural fest. The LPU cultural festival showcased the music and dance of Ghana’s Ashanti, Fante, and Ga peoples. The Kete dance, an exquisite exhibition of rhythm and movement, was performed by the students. The Fante people displayed the Adowa dance, which is a ladylike and elegant dance. The Ga people also delighted the audience with their traditional dance and music.

The Middle Eastern nation of Yemen has an illustrious and historic culture. The LPU cultural festival displayed Yemeni Hadhrami, Tihama, and Tihami music and dance. The al-Mahri dance, an exquisite exhibition of rhythmic movements, was performed by the Hadhrami students. The Tihama people displayed their traditional dance and music, while the Tihami people also performed their beautiful traditional dances. They displayed their culture using various hand-made models.

Overall, the LPU cultural festival was a huge success, and AIU produced it to celebrate the rich cultural legacy of numerous nations, including Cameroon, Ghana, and Yemen. People had a wonderful opportunity to interact while learning about the rich and varied cultures of various countries during the festival. It was a wonderful experience to personally witness the music, dance, and traditions of these nations.
