Online Summer Training Course on Solving Competitive Problems using Data Structures was organized by Human Resource Development Center and School of Computer Science and Engineering, LPU for IT professionals as per schedule specified above. The program aimed at enhancing the skills of participants in utilization of various data structures and making them ready for solving real-world problems using these skills.
Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor and Dean, HRDC, LPU welcomed the participants. In her address she emphasized on the importance of the course with respect to its demand in the industry. She also mentioned about the significance of post training evaluation and action learning projects in gaining new skills and getting a competitive edge in the industry.
The program was conducted in in an experiential Learning mode. Mr. Ravi Kant Sahu, Assistant Professor and Dr. Om Prakash Yadav, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering were invited as a Subject Matter Experts. The deliberations focused on enhancing the skills of participants in basics of programming using data structures, making the participants understand the importance and application of various data sstructures, solving basic competitive coding problems using data Structures, applying data sstructures and algorithmic concepts in developing useful projects. As an action learning project the participants created Algorithm Simulators, Hostel Allocation System, Parking Management System, Library Management System, Shortest Path Finder (Dijkstra’s Algorithm), Grocery Management System, Shopping Cart Management System, Student record management system, Phone directory management system, Bank Management System etc.
Mr. Pushpendra Kumar Pateriya, Assistant Professor and HOD, System Programming, School of Computer Science and Engineering and Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor and COD, corporate training, HRDC were the program coordinators.
