Technology was made for the good of man, yet today, it looks like it may ruin mankind.
Today we seem to have conformed to being taken over by technology of all kind, be it our mobile phones, laptops and or tablets. These things have become more like our masters, in a way that our day to day lives and relationships with the real world has been affected.
We are too attached to technology that we are unable to even have a decent conversation with family, friends or our partners. Hanging out with friends still exists, but is done in the silence of us being on our mobile phones, which seems absurd, because we want to be with friends yet we can barely converse with having to hold our phones every two seconds.
We seem to also have given technology the power to be our form of problem solving, which does not even solve the problems, but worsens them and many times leave them unsolved. We complain of how our relationships don’t work out, yet we forget that technology is to blame, because instead of talking to each other, we take it to technology, which has many outside forces that influence our relationships. We have forgotten how to express ourselves, because we have become used to technology expressing how we feel on our behalf’s.
When we have problems, be it with family, friends or our partners, we tend to use technology through social media, which only makes it worse as technology is becoming more of a barrier than of help to our lives.
We do need technology, but needing it doesn’t mean letting it rule over our lives. We must learn to have decent conversations, outings and or gatherings with friends, family or partners without thinking of holding our phones every second. Let’s learn to speak on our own without having technology do the talking for us. Let’s also learn to have decent interactions, conversations or any day to day practices without having to always think of technology.
Technology was meant to empower and not imprison us. We seem to have become slaves to technology, shackeled to our gadgets.
