All actions result from thoughts, so it is thoughts that matter.
It is now believed that some 25-40 thoughts a minute are generated in the mind of an average person when awake. No one truly knows what a thought really is, but a lot of thought (there we go again) has been given to how thought impact us and whether we can control them. As regards the former it has been correctly observed that when you sow a thought, you reap an action, when you sow an action, you reap a habit, when you sow a habit, you reap a character and when you sow a character, you reap a destiny.
But can we control our thoughts? Sure we can. From the ancient India art of meditation to the Chinese zen there is ample proof and practice to prove that mastery over thoughts is both important and possible. The highest power next to the Supreme is our own mental power. What we think, we become.
Thoughts can affect perceptions. Ever thought a moment, an event, magical? Magic doesn’t just happen; often we create purposefully without coscious effort. A visit to the Taj Mahal could just be a good one or it could be rendered magical by a knowledge of its history, a sensitivity to the love and pain that went into its creation. So all those little guide books you buy? The thought that impels you make the purchase? The thoughts that you use to wander the corridors of time. Those are are yor magic wands. You make your own magic.
