LPU Student, Krishna S Nair pursuing B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) has participated in an International Event, “Create The Future – Design Contest 2018”. For the competition, she will be working on an “Aerodynamic design measurement with 12 pressures taping approach for Mach Range of 0.2 to 2.5”. She is working under the guidance of Supervisor Dr. JV Muruga Lal Jeyan who is the Head of Department, Aerospace Engineering at Lovely Professional University.
She got selected and claimed the 6th position with 125 votes. The competition, “Create the Future” Design Contest 2018 is being organized by the NASA Tech Briefs Magazine. It came into being in the year 2002 with the aim to reward innovation in engineering. Since then, the event has attracted more than 14,000 design ideas from engineers worldwide. The competition is primarily for Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Electronics/ IoT, Robotics, Medical Technologies, and Sustainable Technology Design Products. The LPU team has submitted their entry in the Aerospace & Defense category. The grand winner of this competition will be awarded 20,000 USD, while the category winners will be awarded HP deskside workstation computer.
