Background & Rationale
LPU-HRDC has established uniqueness through its world class pedagogy and nurturing faculty in achieving career goals. The University recognizes the importance of imparting quality training on updated technologies, emerging trends and latest software. Subject Matter Experts of national and international repute are invited to spearhead the Corporate Training Programs. 

Trainer’s Update Program received active participation of faculty members and trainers from JCI India. The program aimed at judiciously using the adult learning principles for effective design of training programs. The program targeted atenhancing Training & Coaching Skill Sensitized in emerging technologies in Training. The resource panel consisted ofDr. Sunaina Ahuja,  Professor & Associate Dean, Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, Assistant Director, Lovely Professional University.

The Program was spread over six sessions in which participants were individually coached with respect to The Changing Face of Learner &their  needs, Less Used Training Techniques, Out Bound Learning, Designing Long Duration Workshops, Technology aids for Trainers and Marketing your Trainings. The schedule carried a multi-pronged approach that included inputs, group discussions, situation-based analysis, role plays and finally presentations by the participants.

The Focus pointers were:

  • Context Setting-The Learning Mantras
  • The Learner Types and Styles
  • Coping up with learner need
  • The Coach Concept
  • Technology in Training
  • Measuring and Marketing the trainings

There was a rich mix of individual and team activities making the program interesting and interactive. The deliberations stimulated self-learning amongst the participants who actively participated in the program. The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Subject Matter Experts, appropriate learning environment, venue setting, infrastructure, study material and content delivery. They were also impressed by the subject expertise of the resource persons.

The participants observed that the program was outcome oriented and gave them new insights on the topic. It was relevant for enhancement in quality ofteaching and training. It was crafted to meet the training needs stated by the client. LPU-HRDC is committed to provide tailor made Professional Development Programs for the corporate sector. 

These training programs also help in strengthening industry-academia relations thus opening new vistas of mutual collaboration.
