Those who aren’t familiar with the term “writer’s block” it means a point where a writer is unable to come up with an idea to write. It is of different kinds. To some change of environment can give ideas and to some reminiscing does. Well, one thing that is same for all writers experiencing writer’s block sure is that it makes things very difficult for them and they might even start doubting their own capabilities. Here are some types of writer’s block which most of the writers face at one point or other

Writer's Block

  1. When your mind is blank and you just can’t come up with an idea.
  2. You have ideas but too many and you can’t single out one as all look very impressive.
  3. You have this nasty feeling that somewhere your content has differed off road some 50 pages back. This is definitely scary!
  4. You just have the outline of the plot but are stuck at a point
  5. You are stuck in the middle and have no idea how to proceed the story further.
  6. You think of all the reasons why people would hate your story – that kinda paralyses you and gives you anxiety.
  7. You become bored and frustrated with your own content (characters). On a bright note, that could be a sign of very high creativity!
  8. Fantastic story in head but now that its on paper does not look so incredible anymore.
  9. Right words to convey what you want don’t seem to come up at all. And it seems that the dictionary does not have enough words.
  10. Thinking of reasons why you can’t just sit down and write.

Writer's Block

They are hard to endure and are terrifying but knowing where the problem lies can give you a headstart in resolving the writer’s block. When writer’s block hits you, remember your best pieces of writings and know that it was your mind that wrote them!
