LPU has dedicated its system towards the betterment of students on both national and international platforms in both academics, sports, and cultural fields and it deserves a round of applause for the same. Over the years, we have seen students travelling across the world and acquiring several feats under the guidance of our university and excel. This article is about another noteworthy achievement by the students of LPU in academics.

Two students from LPU Literary Society  Rahul Sharma and Arin Sanghi became regional runners-up in SEBI’s Nationwide Financial Market Quiz that was conducted with the help and support of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). Conducted by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), this nationwide quiz and essay writing on financial markets aim to enhance the financial education of the population and make everyone aware regarding the scenario of financial markets in the world.

The Round 2 and 3 were held at NISM Campus in Mumbai whereas the Round 1 was online. The Top 3 teams who were winners at the national level will receive a prize amount of Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 80,000, and Rs. 60,000 each. The top 100 students across the country got a chance to visit Mumbai and receive cash awards along with a participation certificate. The prizes extend to the principals of the top 50 colleges accompanying the students on the stage and got invited at the final ceremony as guests. All students who have finished their (10+2) and are in any recognized college are allowed to participate in this competition on behalf of their college/university.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has been initiated by the Government of India to celebrate 75 years of Indian Independence as a remembrance of the rich culture and history this country holds. Recently, LPU was selected as a sender university in the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) under the AKAM-EBSB-Visit of students to paired states where the students of LPU were seen visiting the Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vishakhapatnam, as a part of this program and get accustomed with the culture there. It was a wonderful opportunity given to the students to know about the culture of other states and grow to love it.
