A webinar on All About Content Creation and Writing was organized by a student organization, Wissen, under the aegis of the Division of Student welfare, LPU on 4th July at Google meet platform. The esteemed guest Ms. Dhariya Gangwani is the founder of Dhariya decodes, a public speaker and a content creator. She is Electronics and Communication engineer, currently working with KPMG in India as SAP analyst. She has done over 25+ internships in various domains of management. Her main expertise is resume building, mentoring, preparing people for interviews, and has coached over 1000 people till now. She is the epitome of knowledge and believed in sharing it with vertos who are interested in starting their career as content writers.

WHO ARE CONTENT WRITERS?

A creative professional who writes blogs, articles, social media content for different sites. She talked about what a content writer requires, how to get started with content writing, what all categories you can choose from. Content writing is a perfect blend of hard work, research, original approach, right keywords, SEO enabling, etc.

There are different types of writing that you can do:

  1. Descriptive writing
  2. Analytical writing
  3. Persuasive writing
  4. Critical writing

Furthermore, there are many other categories too from which you can opt and analyze what domain best suits you. This includes blog writing, copywriting, SEO writing, editorial writing, business writing, report writing, technical writing, etc.

BLOG STRUCTURE:

Before knowing the structure, you should know what a blog is and what purpose does it serve? Blogs are regularly updated on websites that are written informally or conversationally for better understanding among their audience. A blogger is a person who runs a blog and creates new content for it. The blog consists of 4 major components-

  1. Header: contains navigation bar and menu
  2. Main content: This is the space where the latest or featured blog post and other updates are placed
  3. Sidebar: Here you can show social profiles, ads, and favorite contents
  4. Footer: Relevant links like a disclaimer, privacy policy, contact page, etc are placed.

CONTENT WRITING VS COPYWRITING:

It is essential to optimize your blog content, for better organic reach and user experience. Use proper keywords research that can bring an audience according to your niche.
