The eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League will return after two years in December 2021. Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 was postponed last year due to the pandemic. Bengal Warriors are the defending champion of the Pro Kabaddi League. The auction was scheduled from 29 August 2021 – 31 August 2021. We at LPU are pleased to inform you that Five LPU Students and Kabaddi Players have been selected for Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. These five students are Surinder Singh, Sagar, Meetu Sharma, Rakesh Sangroya, and Jaideep Dahiya.

Telugu Titans bought LPU’s BPES Student Surinder Singh for 55 Lakhs INR. Surinder played for U Mumba for the past 2 seasons. Surinder scored the most tackle point, 58, by a U Mumba player in Season 5. Surinder became the first player to assist 100 tackles in a single campaign.

Tamil Thalaivas bought LPU’s BPES Student Sagar for 8 Lakhs INR. Sagar is a defender who plays in the right corner. He was part of Tamil Thaliavas as well in last season, where he played 13 games and earned 22 points.

Haryana Steelers bought LPU’s BPES Student Meetu Sharma for 7.98 Lakhs INR. Meetu came to the limelight in the 46th Junior National Kabaddi Championship, where he was the top raider had maximum raid points. He also won gold in two consecutive Junior Nationals.

Gujarat Fortune Giants bought LPU’s BPES Student Rakesh Sangroya for 7.98 Lakhs INR. The coming season will be Rakesh’s maiden season in the Pro Kabaddi League. Rakesh came to the limelight in the K7 StageUp 2021, where he managed to score 186 raid points in just 19 matches.
