LPU celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with full patriotic fervour and passion. Along with, magnificent ‘Tricolour’ hoisted high, the whole campus was ornamented in saffron, white and green-symbolic colours of the national flag through various objects.

While addressing and informing about recent achievements made by the university at recently held Tokyo Olympics, rankings, placements and more, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal shared: “Such a significant national festival always reminds us of our duties towards the nation and the youth. We too try hard to fulfil these in various ways, be these towards representing India in Olympics, dissemination of time needed education, fostering unity in diversity, CSR activities amid severe COVID 19 and more. On these lines, we always encourage our students to be true embodiments of national heritage.”

On this eve, students were also inspired to participate in a series of other virtual programmes on national spirit and values. A large number of students participated in a patriotic national webinar on ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Here, live streaming of a 20- Minute film titled ‘India@75 – A Journey‘ was made.

After watching the film, LPU students attempted the National Quiz based on the film to earn national recognition. Another programme was the live poetry show ‘Azadi Ki Kavya Dhara’, which instilled the most powerful patriotic passion among participating students.
