Three-day 22nd annual conference ‘Share the Vision-2023’ of Lovely Professional University (LPU) concluded at the campus, where its 5500 faculty and staff members participated passionately. All of them celebrated the warmth of 22 years’ togetherness.
Counting various international & national achievements yearlong; the theme celebrated this year was “I Am Important”- (I am responsible for the sake of students and the institution). On this occasion, more than 560 university employees were also honoured with 20, 15, 10 & 5 Years’ long ‘Association Awards’ for providing their valuable services. The joy of coming together and strengthening the existing bond added lustre to the celebrations.
While addressing, LPU’s Founder Chancellor & Rajya Sabha Member Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal invited all to lead LPU to get it included among the top 200 universities of the world by 2030. On this occasion, Dr Mittal shared various achievements made in academics, research, placements, top NAAC A++ accreditation, rankings, awards, and winnings in scientific & technological competitions, sports & cultural activities and more.
Acknowledging the challenges faced and achievements made, Dr Mittal inspired all: “Keep performing better than before to make LPU reveal its strengths to the world through collective spirit. For this each and every one will have to play a crucial role in contributing significantly to the seamless journey of a student, and eventually to the overall growth of the university. Each one of you is equally important.”
Just like every year, LPU faculty and staff members united to embrace the celebrations, with vivid and vibrant procession across the 10 Kms campus following five themes based on Fruits & Vegetables; Crops & Millets; Birds; Animals; and, Five Tatva (Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Sky). All participated passionately to learn team work, togetherness, skills of unity through gaming of ideas. This joyous part of celebrations was characterized by some eye-opening messages through special masks, colourful attires and other assigned connotations.
LPU staff members who completed 20 years’ service this year included Director General of the University Er. H.R.Singla; Sr. Director Ms. Ginni Nijhawan; Director Mr. Manish Kumar; Associate Professor Dr. Kulwinder Singh; Associate Professor and Asst. Dean Mr. Jagjit Singh and more. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Lovi Raj Gupta; Additional Registrar Dr. Namita Kaur and many others received awards for 15 years’ service.
