All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in association with Heartfulness Education Trust (HET) and Unique App- Your One Life (YOL) honoured Lovely Professional University (LPU) with the ‘National Unicorn Award’ in Hyderabad.
The award was bestowed in the presence of the Chairman, AICTE, Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe; Member of Legislative Council Nizamabad, K. Kavitha; President Ram Mission and Founder HET, Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji); and, Yogi Kocher of YOL, in prominence. These awards, institutionalized by HET, AICTE & YOL, are to recognize the happiest institutions at the national level.
The honouring was made on the occasion of an awards ceremony held at Kanha Shanti Vanam in Hyderabad. The event witnessed an elite presence of 10,000+ attendees from academia including nation-wide Directors and Vice Chancellors of top institutions. Millions of others joined virtually from over 150 countries.
Feeling immensely happy on the national honour of LPU, Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal expressed gratitude, and shared that, “LPU campus is always youthfully vibrant with many thousands of multinational students. In spite of representing diverse cultures and creeds, all of them always coexist holding aloft LPU flag with global achievements in various fields.”
Further, congratulating the hard working LPU team and dedicating the glorious award to it, Dr Mittal expressed that inclusion of this unique award to academic institutions and propagators is to bring tolerance and happiness among the present-day students. Institutions ought to teach students about the importance of happiness in life- that always brings forth peace and productivity all around.
On this occasion, Dr Sahasrabudhe shared that digital invasion impacted students at large. To counter the same, ‘YourOneLife’ app is approved for introduction in the Indian academics as per NEP. It is to monitor and calibrate the mind share, mind-map and happiness index of all the students. MLC K Kavitha shared that this event is supported to reach pan-India.
Along with LPU from Punjab state, some other institutions awarded, from across Indian States, included Manipal University Jaipur (Rajasthan); Sikkim Manipal University (Sikkim), KIET Group of Institutions (Ghaziabad); Netaji Subhash Chandra Institute of Technology (Delhi); Velammal Engineering College (Tamil Nadu); Mar Baselios Institute of Technology & Science (Kerala); JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (Karnataka); Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management Studies & Research (Maharashtra); Lakshmi Narayan College of Technology (Madhya Pradesh), and a few more.
