In a magnificent celebration of unity and cultural harmony, Lovely Professional University (LPU) came alive during its annual fest ‘One India, One World’, held under the vibrant theme “Rang De Bharat – Celebrating Patriotism through Art and Culture.” The three-day mega event welcomed over 40,000 attendees and featured thousands of student participants, 30 curated exhibition stalls, and captivating cultural performances — a true testament to youth power, diversity, and artistic expression.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, warmly addressed the gathering, sharing, “LPU believes in and lives by the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family. Though we come from different corners of the nation and the world, we are united as One India, One World. Diversity here is not just embraced — it’s celebrated. Events like these reflect our commitment to unity in diversity, global harmony, and inclusive education. Let us continue to build a campus, a community, and a country that thrives on knowledge, diversity, and equal opportunity for all.”
He further added, “LPU strongly believes that financial limitations should never stand in the way of quality education. During the 6th Edition of LPU’s Study Grant Ceremony, we awarded scholarships worth ₹1.24 crores to 124 deserving students, empowering them to pursue higher studies at top institutions including IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, NLUs, and more. Over the past five years, LPU has disbursed more than ₹7 crores to over 600 meritorious students across the country.”
The festivities began with a powerful, student-led flag-off ceremony symbolizing unity across Indian states and nations. A grand parade followed, showcasing majestic tableaus and vibrant cultural troupes proudly representing the art, heritage, and traditions of 28 Indian states, 8 Union Territories, and 31 countries—a vivid tribute to cultural pride and mutual respect.
Audiences were enthralled by the One World Dance Concert and Jhoomo Re – One India Dance Concert, where students performed over 30 diverse traditional and contemporary dance forms alongside a rich blend of global musical expressions.
Throughout the celebration, the LPU campus pulsed with the energy of diverse cultures, as students—guided by LPU’s EduRevolution initiative—took full ownership of the exhibition, from concept to execution. The event served as a vibrant showcase of hands-on learning, cultural pride, and global unity, beautifully bringing to life the spirit of One India and the shared vision of One World.
