Shri Arun Jaitley – a name which created history as a Home Minister and as a Finance Minister of India. The name which brought the Indian economy to a remarkable GDP, a versatile politician who did various efforts to produce more and more entrepreneur in India.

The demise of Shri Arun Jaitley Ji is a great loss to the country. Shri Jaitley Ji suffered from a series of health-related issues and underwent multiple surgeries leading to his deteriorating health and subsequent death in 2019. In 2005, he went through a coronary artery bypass surgery after he was diagnosed with high blood pressure. In 2014, the gastric bypass surgery was performed on him, aimed at reducing his weight. As he was a great Finance Minister who brought the Indian economy to a level that India had become the 5th most fast-growing economy in the world.FM

Along with his political carrier, he was the president of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA). That’s why DDCA has decided to rename the “Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium” as “Arun Jaitley stadium” as a tribute to their former president. This tribute becomes so special because he always supported and encouraged the sports players like Virat Kohli, Rishabh pant, Sehwag, and Gautam Gambhir who made our country proud. This renaming ceremony will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on 12th September 2019 in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Shri Jaitley Ji had visited Lovely professional University in 2016, where he inaugurated the LPU Startup School. LPU was honoured to have Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs. This school will help students launch start-ups by incubating their projects, arranging finances, and providing them with the technical know-how of launching successful ventures. In the inaugural ceremony, he stated, I wish to see many ‘disrupter’ entrepreneurs from LPU”. He cited examples of economies that have grown by targeting the global market. The minister encouraged the students to be entrepreneurs by taking a step forward with innovative start-ups.
