Buckle Up

There are things that we do which require some amount of background knowledge, some experience to co-relate with, some guidance, some sense of direction, but sometimes we find ourselves going through them blindly.

This may happen to us once every hour, or a week, or even a year but it does happen. The end result is often not desirable and we try to give in, or give up on it, and try to distract ourselves, but what we are really doing is running away.

Running away from looking into the eye of the consequences of the actions that we once performed. Willingly or under pressure, we did what we did and no matter the pre-opt preparations we went through, the real thing was never going to be short of surprises.

Reality is the only the experience, and the rest is just frivolous glorification. There may be redemption down the road of honest courage, or there may only be regret; there may be a face-to-face with your weaknesses or a glimpse into your darkness –  whatever happens after your decisions have been made and actions taken, you need to buckle yourself up and keep hold your high to face the consequences and move ahead.
