‘One India’ is one of the most celebrated cultural festivals organized by Lovely Professional University, where all the states compete with each other in different cultural activities to come out at the top. These days, all the states are brainstorming ideas and conducting researches to find the perfect focal point to correlate its cultural heritage to this year’s theme of ‘World Peace’.

With just a few days left for this mega event to start, students, all around the university can be seen bustling about the respective blocks allocated to them. Each student or team is trying to create something unique or extraordinary to represent their state. Handicrafts, paintings, and other artwork adorn these blocks, giving a peak to the curious, at how visually delightful the festival is going to be.

The hallways of DSA are a temple of culture these days. A walk through the building is to treat oneself to strains of dulcet voices practicing folk songs, and the beats of varied music to which each state is preparing a dance performance. It is tempting to just stand and absorb, and maybe even try and copy the talent floating around. However, the intricate songs and dances are a pleasure to the senses, but extremely hard to copy.

All this color, beauty, melody and effort are adding to my anticipation of ‘One India’. The dedication, hardwork, and determination with which the participants are preparing for the event are promising of a grand show indeed.

All the best guys! Really looking forward to the 22nd-23rd of March.
