* Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are to cater to the needs of the students and the society
In a significant development, the Christian Medical College Society (Ludhiana) has sealed two pivotal pacts with the largest single-campus University of India, Lovely Professional University (LPU).
Important MoU’s were signed after a meeting of the CMC team with the Hon’ble Founder Chancellor of LPU & Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal.
LPU & CMC Society have committed to hold collaborative camps, implement research, and facilitate student/ faculty exchange programs. Here, the visiting CMC team commended the remarkable growth of LPU, while the LPU team expressed admiration for CMC’s philanthropic services.
Hon’ble Chancellor Dr Mittal congratulated all at the helm of collaborative affairs, from LPU’s faculties of Applied Medical Sciences and Business & Arts for earnestly working towards the ultimate needs of the students and the society.
The purpose of MoUs is to provide a framework for the conduct of institutional cooperation between CMC and LPU for research in thematic areas of mutual interests. Broad objective is for academic and research activities including student-internships; joint research supervision; submission of research proposals to funding agencies; joint academic programmes; cross disciplinary research interactions; and allied endeavours.
Prior to this, CMC has also agreed that the LPU students will be allowed to undergo training in the different departments of CMC including related to general medicines/ surgery/central pharmacy to get access to patient information for case studies, data analysis and other required purposes.
The high level meeting & signing ceremonies witnessed elite presence of the Director Dr. William Bhatti; Principals Dr. Jayaraj D Pandian and Dr. Abi Thomas and more from CMC. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Modi and Dr Monica Gulati represented LPU. The MOU ceremony was orchestrated by the Industry Institute Interaction Team at LPU.
