Pacing onward with yet another outstanding alliance to ensure diverse global excellence; Lovely Professional University has collaborated with one of the top-ranked educational institutions in Ghana, Accra Technical University (ATU). In this regard, ATU and LPU have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Ghana. It is to help build the capacity of Ghanaian students, and to propagate mutually beneficial other educational endeavours.

This strategic partnership will provide students and stakeholders with exchange programmes, joint faculty research publications, internship programmes among various other collaborative areas. The agreement is an effort to engage students across the globe, and work together to create novel opportunities for innovative students. Both of the institutions have also planned for international conferences, research activities, advanced technical know-how, world-class knowledge and technology transfer and more.

As per the African university ranking system for top recognized higher-education institutions in the African continent; Accra Technical University is one of the continuously fast-growing universities in Ghana. It is the most popular public university with five faculties of engineering; built environment; applied sciences; applied arts; and, business.

Vice President of LPU & Head Division of International Affairs, Dr Aman Mittal informs that LPU is endeavouring hard for the internationalization of higher education. It is offering gigantic global opportunities to students to learn about other countries as well at their social, academic, cultural, co-curricular and professional fronts and roots. Mr Mittal adds that “the collaborative international programmes are most effective in changing students’ stereotyped view of the world, and in changing the same set global view about them as well.”

During the signing ceremony in Ghana, the Vice-Chancellor of ATU, Prof Samuel Nii Odai expressed that such a multifarious collaboration would help students with the enhanced skills for nation building. It also seems that the partnership would enhance global experience and knowledge of the students of both the institutions. It was also shared that after completing the first two years of their courses in the country, Ghanaian students would go on to complete the next years at LPU for their final degree/diploma. 

The signing ceremony in Ghana was endorsed by Associate Director Mr Nitesh Mahajan of LPU in the presence of the Registrar, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director International Linkages of ATU.  

Presently, LPU has been working with 200+ universities across the globe including those of the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, France and many more. Moreover, a single window approach at LPU’s international office always helps international students feel at home in completing their various processes. In fact, such collaborative programmes ensure that a participating student’s profile stands out uniquely by showcasing that he/she is always compliant with a new and complex environment.

Noteworthy, LPU also provides credit transfers to students for various programs of many universities in countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Lithuania, Dubai, Malaysia and more.
