Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Lovely Professional University has opened LPU Physiotherapy Clinic near Dr Ambedkar Chowk in Jalandhar City. It is to accord physiotherapy treatment to thousands of patients suffering from diverse physical ailments. Earlier, many of the patients from the city and nearby areas, needing professional physiotherapy treatments used to visit physiotherapy center at LPU campus. On such patients’ regular demand, LPU has now endeavored to open this clinic, where all specialties of physiotherapy, with specialized diagnosis and treatments are served under one roof. Following the recent developments in global medicine technique and physiotherapy, the clinic treats all orthopedic, neurological, sports, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, autism and even obesity-related ailments.
LPU Senior Dean Dr Monica Gulati shares: “The aim of our clinic is to be restorative and curative in approach for our patients so that they get re-strengthened and live a healthy life once again.” Madam Gulati also informed that physiotherapists engaged from 8 am to 8 pm at the clinic are very caring and helpful for patients of all type & age-group.
Within a few days of its opening, hundreds of patients affected with frozen shoulder, disorders of bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, nervous system, knee & back-bone pains, ankle-twisting, shoulder, back & hip pains, neck-pain, gout pain and more have got comforting treatments. Doctors are offering them simple exercises, electro-therapy, thermo-therapy, manual therapy and more. Moreover, the clinic uses different types of couches and machines to provide better treatment to its patients.
Parents of a cerebral palsy affected 7-year old child Divy Sehgal, Mrs & Mr Kapil Sehgal told that the clinic as a great boon to them, as after running from pillar to post they finally got miraculous recovery in their tender-aged child with the attention, care and the best of therapies provided at the LPU Clinic.
