Looking at dynamic Indian women like LPU’s Tanya Arora, Wilkerson also shared that Indian women are educated in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and have a great aspiration for technology. Holding that “Women transform technology: Technology transforms the World”; GHCI connects, inspires and guides women in computing and organizations.

The 2019 GHCI witnessed thousands of women technologists coming together to network, find support, and celebrate the achievements of women in tech. During the Celebration, Wilkerson spoke of the goal of reaching 50/50 tech equity by 2025. She acknowledged the progress made in India, where about one-third of the IT sector is female. Brenda holds, “The US is actually behind India in tech equity ratio. We are proud of the progress women have made in India.”
