Meet the proud Verto, Shiva Kumar who has delighted us by bagging the Gold Medal in the 2019 Commonwealth Judo Championships held in England.
He has achieved this grand feat with his tireless dedication and intense practice under the valuable guidance of his coaches and mentors at LPU and thus made the entire LPU family very proud of him.
The five-day event took place at the University of Wolverhampton’s Walsall Campus England from September 25-29, 2019 and witnessed thousands of athletes who competed in categories such as pre-cadet, cadet, junior, senior, veteran, and visually impaired judoka.
Shiva bagged the gold in -60kg category. We wish that he achieves success in all his endeavours and continues to inspire other dedicated students like him!
