Lovely Professional University is organizing its 15th three-day annual mega event ‘SPECTRA-2022’ at the campus as the ‘Inter School Youth Festival’. At the fest, 5000+ students from across India and 40 countries are showcasing their talents under 50+ competitive categories in 5 areas of music, dance, theatre, literature and fine arts.

It is indeed a high-spirited experience at the campus, where engineering, sciences, pharmacy, management and other professional programmes students are seen performing splendidly in competitions under different genres.
Other than participants, thousands of other on-looking students are also enjoying various actions and performances along with unique cuisines at fun & food stalls specially raised.
LPU schedules this event every year to identify the talent, particularly, of new students. From here, talented students are further guided to share bigger national and international level platforms, including the Association of Indian Universities’ Nationals, Youth Vibe, One India, and One World programmes of the university.
One of the participants, Sahil from Aurangabad shared that the event has provided him much confidence in the very first phase of his studies at the university in a novel way.
Encouraging participating students, LPU Pro-Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal invoked them to keep on bringing laurels to their respective schools and departments by exhibiting the best of passions and talents within them.
Mrs Mittal also expressed that this university event is a fun-filled and artistically competitive celebration. It not only entertains students but also enhances their competitive spirit to excel.
At the fest, competitions under the music category are for classical vocal, instrumental (percussion/ non-percussion), folk group singing, Indian group & duet singing, and western solo vocal.
For dance, there are competitions for classical / semi-classical, folk dances, international group dance, western freestyle, theme choreography, western group dance and rap star.
For theatrics, competitions are for skit, beat-boxing, Nukkad-Natak, mimicry and mime. Competitions are also for spot painting, cartooning, photography, rangoli & doodling, poster making, collage making, single colour painting, water colour mixture, charcoal portrait, sculpting etc. Literary competitions are for elocution, quiz, creative writing, debate and more.
