Lovely Professional University is recognized as one of the happiest campuses in the country. LPU recognizes the interest of the students and help them in pursuing their dreams. There are many students mastering their own form of art. One such art is stand-up comedy. LPU MBA student Muskan Taneja has recently shared stage with one of India’s most loved stand-up comedians, Anubhav Singh Bassi. Recently, Muskan also got the opportunity to participate in the Open National Competition organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports where she secured 3rd position in Stand-Up Comedy.
Muskan says, “Since childhood I’ve been wanting to be on stage. I performed my first comedy act in school on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and garnered a lot of appreciation. Little did I know then that comedy was my genre and I would end up making my career in it.”
Since then it was no turning back for Muskan. “When I joined LPU for my graduation, I gave a small comedy performance in an open mic that was conducted inside the campus. It was a wonderful experience and since then I have performed on numerous occasions,” adds Muskan.
So far, Muskan has done 150 plus open mics and shared stage with the eminent faces from the world of comedy, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Harsh Gujral, Rahul Dua to name a few. She consistently makes the audience laugh in her sets. She is growing and taking up opportunities. “The journey has been incredible so far,” adds Muskan. Thanking her mentors and LPU, Muskan says, “My infinite thanks to LPU and my mentors for being my constant support and guiding me throughout.”
Happiness is the best medicine. With all our lives being about work and responsibilities, there are seldom moments where we can cherish the life and attain the happiness that we deserve in life. There are several times in our life that we feel lonely and the negative thoughts overcome the positivity of our life. The different sources of entertainment help people out in times like these.
