“Someone is sitting in shade today because someone planted a tree long ago…”
Trees are the lifeline of this planet earth. They make their contribution silently and quietly. They maintain the balance of nature and make sure that the rains come on time. However, their contribution to keeping the ecological balance is highly overlooked. There are only a few who make efforts to plant trees. In one such effort, LPU’s Student Organization “Sankalp Enviro” in collaboration with Decathlon & EcoSikh conducted a rally under the aegis of Division of Student Welfare on the occasion of 69th Republic Day in Ludhiana, Punjab and distributed plants in waste plastic bottles.
These plants requiring little care will benefit hugely in the years to come.
