We’ve had a blast rocking the campus for the past two days, but we’re not done yet! There’s still one more day to enjoy YouthVibe 2023, the annual global open fest of Lovely Professional University, which commenced on 30th April. The fest promises to be a grand extravaganza of talent, culture, and entertainment, with more than 50 activities, 3 consecutive invited performers’ enchanting nights; and, fest’s own pop music culture convention.
The 7th edition of global open fest was inaugurated with the theme of “Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity.” The fest carries along a slogan of ‘Diversity- embrace it, share it, celebrate it’ for thousands of participating students from 20+ universities. Participants are competing under different categories, including “Literary, Music, Dance, Sports/Esports, Lifestyle & Social events.”
Inaugurating the fest, LPU Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal congratulated the organizing team for marvelously outlining the global fest and advised all participants to imbibe the great message of being a better person than before.
First trans-woman Laxmi Narayan Tripathi-a transgender rights activist & bollywood actress; Asia’s first trans-man body-builder Aryan Pasha; Winner of Miss PTC Punjaban-2022 award, Jaspreet Singh Kaur; India’s most versatile talented model-Nisha Yadav; and, senior officials of the International Model of United Nations (IMUN) also graced the occasion.
Laxmi and Aryan Pasha thanked LPU for owning and easing trans-community and thinking about its place in society. They also informed that as a part of this fest, a cricket matches series is all set for trans-persons of 7 states.
Nisha Yadav and Jaspreet Singh Kaur were here to judge Ms and Mr YouthVibe for the fest. IMUN officials declared awards for best debaters on international topics in relation to democracy. IMUN brings youth together from around the world to learn and share ideas from a diverse set of experiences and backgrounds.
LPU’s much-awaited youth fest- ‘Youth Vibe’ is a wide-ranged carnival. It is an amalgamation of diverse events, from argumentative debates to melodious performances; from rock shows to cricket matches; from dancing to singing; and, from gala star nights to global summit of social challenges.
To mark the uniqueness of the fest, it was earlier initiated with luxury cars’ stunts as a ‘Supercar Drift Show’ for students’ mirth and merriment. It was organized by the “Exotic Cars Club J-town”- known for their spectacular collection of luxury cars including- G-Wagon, Lexus, BMW, Porsche, Range Rover, Mustang-GT, Audi, Mercedes & many more.
