His Excellency Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana visited Lovely Professional University, where he interacted with 150+ Ghanaian students studying at LPU in different programmes of the university. LPU’s Vice President Mr Aman Mittal, who is also heading Division of International Affairs, greeted the high profiled guest and his team at the campus.
The visit was aimed to discuss further opportunities for collaboration for the youth of Ghana in the higher education domain at LPU. In this regard, His Excellency Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh conversed with LPU Chancellor Dr Ashok Mittal about the persistence of long-term educational endeavours between Ghana and LPU. The elite visitor also had a special session with Ghanaian students, currently studying at LPU.
Accompanying him were also First Secretary/ Head of Consular Mr Eric Amoako Missah; and, First Secretary/ Consular & Welfare Ms Jean Asantewaah Oduro.
While interacting with the Ghanaian students, Hon’ble High Commissioner of Ghana appreciated LPU for its rich history and great tradition of learning while being fully engaged in research and innovation. He applauded LPU’s two decades of achievements in higher education, whence it has strengthened its name for focusing on innovation and research. He also congratulated LPU for its being ranked 74th amongst all universities worldwide by Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2022.
In fact, more than 150 Ghanaian students are studying full-time programs at LPU. Moreover, LPU is the only university, probably, that has a very active “LPU- Ghana student alumni association”.
