Since its inauguration by AICTE Chairman Prof. Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) of Lovely Professional University has organized many workshops, research endeavours, and training programs through eminent resource persons, for LPU faculty and staff members. Recently, a management development program on the topic ‘Emotional Intelligence for Leaders’ was organized, where renowned mentor, author and motivational speaker Mr Vivek Atray, ex-IAS, along with Executive Director of Vibrant Advisory Services, Ms. Preeti Parashar mentored the heads of various departments of LPU. According to the participants, their key takeaways from the training were: being able to see the bigger picture; ability to handle stress in a better way; peacemaking conduct; improved consideration of colleagues; balanced leadership skills; and, the magic of cheerfulness. The program was conducted with a judicious blend of practical scenarios, experiential activities, case studies and film analysis. The participants expressed their views enthusiastically on current leadership issues affecting India in the international scenario.
LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal said, “Aiming to revive the glory of the ancient Indian education system, we have specially devised HRDC to train faculty and staff members as per their domains. Getting well versed with world class skills and abilities, they will further prepare LPU students to succeed in a highly competitive professional environment.
