LPU student Narind Walia has been awarded the ‘International Best 50 Painting Award’ for his brilliant artwork “Merriment of Rebbeca” at the ‘9th International Online Annual Art Competition by Bindaas Art Group. Narind Walia’s artwork was rewarded among the top 50 paintings in the competitions.

Narind Walia is a student of Fine Arts at Lovely Professional University. Although, still a student, his artwork is appreciated on various online platforms. He is recognized for his artwork of charcoal portrait of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh among many other artworks. Such is the passion of art in Naren, that he once drew a Charcoal Painting of a visiting guest at LPU within an hour of his visit and presented it to him. The visitor was the President of Mahindra and Mahindra, Mr Rajeev Dubey, who had come to LPU to introduce students to the industrial environment. Such students always bring a good name to the university and make us proud with their dedication.

The 9th International Online Annual Art Competition was organized by Bindaas Art Group, which is India’s first online art competition and exhibition organizing group. It was established in 2009 with an aim to create a platform for exploring and understanding visual arts of India for the national and international audiences. The competition received entries of artists from across the world. The entries were adjudged by international jury members who specialized in Contemporary Art, Plastic Art, Hyper-realistic Art and, Hyperrealism.
