The Workshop on Digital Marketing for Business Development was held from April 10 to April 15, 2023. It witnessed an overwhelming response from faculty members and research scholars seeking to enhance their digital marketing skills. The workshop was organized by Human Resource Development Center in collaboration with the Mittal School of Business at Lovely Professional University, and aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to leverage digital marketing effectively for business growth. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from individuals seeking to enhance their business growth through digital channels.

Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor and Dean, Head of HRDC-LPU, in her welcome address, highlighted the importance of equipping professionals with digital marketing skills in today’s competitive professional landscape. “Digital marketing has become a crucial component of business success in the digital era. This workshop aims to bridge the knowledge gap and empower participants to leverage digital marketing effectively for professional growth,” she expressed.

While setting the context Dr. Rajesh Verma, Professor & Senior Dean at the Mittal School of Business, LPU, emphasized the practical application of digital marketing skills. “In an increasingly digitalized world, professionals need to adapt and utilize digital marketing strategies to reach their target audience effectively. This workshop served as a platform to equip participants with practical skills and actionable insights to enhance their presentation skills,” he explained.

The resource panel comprised esteemed academicians who shared their expertise and insights throughout the workshop. The panel included Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, Deputy Dean at HRDC, Dr. Dr. Shamily Jaggi, Professor at the Mittal School of Business, Richa Bhatia, Associate Professor at the Mittal School of Business, Mr. Rajesh Dorbala, Assistant Professor at the Mittal School of Business, and Dr. Shabnam Gulati, Assistant Professor at the Mittal School of Business. Participants were immersed in a dynamic learning environment, consisting of interactive sessions, practical exercises, and collaborative discussions.

Feedback was solicited from the participants in response to which they appreciated the gesture shown by the LPU-HRDC in terms of choice of Subject Matter Experts and curriculum framed to make them clear about the Digital Marketing. Ms. Gunreet Kaur, a participant, commented, “The workshop provided a holistic understanding of digital marketing and its various channels.
