LPU’s School of Civil Engineering has successfully conducted an International Environmental Engineering Webinar series titled “ENVIRO WEBTALK-2021” from 17th May to 22nd May 2021. The theme of the webinar mentioned below is inspired by the term ‘ENVIRONMENTAL’ where each character indicates one of the facets of Environmental Engineering.
The event received an overwhelming response in terms of registration of researchers, faculties, engineers and scholars from more than 60 countries that breached the 800-mark. 25 notable personalities who have expertise in the field of Environmental Engineering from countries like the USA, UK, Australia, Poland, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Denmark and India delivered technical sessions during this 6-day long event.
A few of the sessions on the topics like Sustainable Urban Water Management, Flood Monitoring through Remote Sensing and GIS, Water and Wastewater utilities, Air Pollution, Climate Change and Radiation, Coastal Hazard and Protection measures, Emerging Contaminants in Water and Wastewater and Sustainable Bio-Nanomaterials received stupendous response from the audience.
The feedback received from the participants as well as invited experts was exceptional. All were amazed to be part of an event of such a large scale during this tough, pandemic-ridden time. The success of this event must be attributed to the combined effort of all the faculty members, students and alumni proficiently led by the HOS, SCE.

Taking inspiration from the success of this event, the School of Civil Engineering, LPU is gearing up for another webinar ‘WEBSTRUCT’ in June 2021.
