In the highly competitive landscape of Indian universities, LPU has surpassed both private institutions and prestigious establishments such as IIT Varanasi, Dhanbad, IIT Hyderabad, Indore, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, and Ropar to secure this coveted position. Globally, overall LPU has been ranked 672 for overall sustainability, with notable rankings in environmental sustainability (139), knowledge exchange (497), social impact (992),   environmental impact (619), and governance (235). The QS Sustainability Rankings 2024 evaluate nearly 1400 universities worldwide based on three key metrics: environmental impact, social impact, and governance.
